स्वावलोकन

महान विभूतियों को पढ़ते पढ़ते बिहार राज्य के दरभंगा जिले के एक सुदूर गॉव लतराहा में एक बालक राष्ट्र सेवा एवं देश सेवा के स्वप्न देखता हुआ बड़ा होता है।   देश में महान विभूतियाँ, साधु-संतो एवं भारत के महान संस्कृति की अनुभूति उसके बालमन में होने लगी थी। सेवा का माध्यम शिक्षा होगी ऐसा उसने बचपन में जान लिया था। चार दीवारों में बंद माँ की विवशता से सामाजिक ताना बाना में जकड़ी संभ्रांत महिलाओं का दर्द भी उसने समझा था। जब वह कक्षा तीन में ही था, अपने आस पास के गरीब बच्चों को घर पर बुलाना और उसे माँ के द्वारा के द्वारा पढ़वाने के माध्यम से उसने शिक्षा के साथ साथ माँ के एकाकीपन को भी तोड़ने का काम किया था। जाति प्रथा के दंश को उसने समझा था, तब तो तमाम विरोध एवं लांछनाओं के बाद भी उसने गॉव के अछूत बच्चों के साथ खाना खाना, पानी पीना एवं होली खेलना शुरू कर दिया था। जावेद के साथ बैठकर उस बाल उम्र में हिन्दू- मुस्लिम एकता पर विचार भी करना शुरू कर दिया था। मित्रों को घर से पैसा न मिलने पर ऐसे खाने एवं खेल का चुनाव करता था, जिससे सभी की भागीदारी हो जाये। जहाँ उनके गरीब मित्रों को लोग टेलीविज़न देखने के लिए घर में आने नहीं देते, तो वहां वह भी जाने से मन कर देता था। समाज में परिवर्तन लाने के लिए उच्च शिक्षा अनिवार्य है, वह पढाई भी मन लगा कर करने लगा. 

छठी कक्षा में उसका जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय , दरभंगा में नामांकन हो जाता है, और वह गॉव से शहर चला आता है. वहाँ भी अपने साथियों एवं कनिष्ठ छात्रों  बढ़ाना और पढ़ने की प्रेरणा देता था. अपने गरीब साथियों को अपने जेब खर्च दे दिया करता था. धीरे धीरे उस ज्ञात होता है, कि  भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान में पढ़ने के बाद छात्र अभियंता बन जाता है और समाज में मान बढ़ता है, जिससे कुछ भी किया जा सकता है. एक चलचित्र में अभियंता को सामाजिक कार्य करते देख, अभियंता बनने का सपना वह पहले ही बना चूका था. पिता को ज्ञात नहीं था कैसे अभियंता बना जाता है, बस वे एक बालक की कहानी सुनते थे, जिसने ठान  लिया तो अभियंता बन गया.   

उसके अनवरत लगन, मेहनत  एवं ईश्वर की कृपा से उसे देश की सर्वोच्च संस्था आई आई टी बॉम्बे में प्रवेश मिल जाता है. शिक्षा के साथ-साथ सामाजिक कार्य के प्रति भी रूचि भी बढ़ती गयी. इस क्रम में नवोदय विद्यालय के पूर्व छात्रों को इकठ्ठा कर इस विषय पर विचार करना भी शुरू कर देता है. इसी क्रम में आई आई टी से तीन घंटे के यात्रा के बाद पालघर स्थित जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय में दोस्तों के साथ जाकर वहाँ के गरीब बच्चों को प्रोत्साहन देने का काम करने लगा. एक वर्कशॉप में वह ऑस्ट्रेलिया से आये से रोड्स स्कॉलर को भी लेकर जाता है. मुम्बई में अचानक आये भीषण बाढ़ की वजह से उन्हें वहाँ पांच दिन रुकना पड़ता है. उस समय सामान्य लोगो ने जिस तरह से प्यार दिया और ध्यान रखा उन्हें स्वतः ही उत्कृष्ट भारतीय संस्कृति का बोध हो गया.
 
    जिस तरह मन की भावना प्रबल होती जाती है, ईश्वर सेवा के द्वार खोलना प्रारम्भ देता है. इसी क्रम में आई आई टी में चल रहे ग्रुप फॉर रूरल एक्टिविटी का साथ मिल जाता है. इस माध्यम से आस-पास के मलिन बस्ती  में जाने, लोगो के दुःख दर्द समझने व उनके बच्चों को शिक्षा देने का अवसर प्राप्त होता है. साथ-साथ में देश के सुदूर भागों में निःस्वार्थभाव से लगे सेवा कर्मियों  मिलने व उनके काम देखने का भी अवसर प्राप्त होता है. एक आदिवासी गॉव में पानी की समस्या दूर करने वाली टीम का हिस्सा बनने का अवसर मिलता है. आई आई टी के भूतपूर्व छात्रों द्वारा संचालित प्रतियोगिता "लाइफ अनलिमिटेड" में प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त होता है और पुरस्कार स्वरुप ४०००० रुपये मिलते हैं. इससे वह केरल के एक छोटे से गॉव के विद्यालय में एक साप्ताहिक कार्यक्रम एवं दरभंगा जिले में एक पुस्तकालय भी खोलते है.

   सेवा करने की इच्छा प्रबल होती जा रही थी. उसी समय एनटीपीसी में नौकरी लग जाती है और सोनभद्र के शक्ति नगर आ जाता है. यहाँ की गरीबी देखकर यहीं सेवा कार्य करने का मन बन लेता हैं और मन में छुपी ैआईएएस की तयारी करने का परित्याग कर देता है. अपने अभियंता मित्रों को इकठ्ठा कर प्रयास टीम बनता हैं और मजदूरों की बस्ती शिवाजीनगर में गरीब बच्चों के लिए शिक्षा देना प्रारम्भ करता है. सैकड़ों बच्चे रोज शाम को इकठ्ठा होते थे और उनके सभी अभियंतागण जोश-खरोश के साथ पढ़ाते  थे. लेकिन कुछ ही दिनों में सबका मनोबल टूटने लगता है क्यूंकि बच्चे कुछ भी सीख नहीं पा रहे थे.
  स्वयंप्रेरित सेवा का भाव हो,  सबसे अपनों सा लगाव हो तो परिस्थितियाँ विपरीत होने पर मार्ग छोड़ने के बजाय नया मार्ग ढूंढता है. इसी क्रम में खेल-कूद, योग इत्यादि के माध्यम से बच्चों में अनुशासन एवं सीखने की क्षमता को विकसित करता है और धीरे-धीरे बच्चे सीखने लगता है. अपने सेवा कार्य को विस्तार देने के लिए एवं मित्रों में सेवा भाव जगाने एवं सुदृढ़ करने हेतु सेवा समर्पण संसथान द्वारा संचालित एवं वनवासी कल्याण आश्रम से सम्बद्ध सेवा कुञ्ज आश्रम, कारीडार चपकी की सामाजिक यात्रा का प्रारम्भ किया।
    ट्रेनिंग के बाद सभी लोग शहर अथवा अपने घर के पास चले जाते हैं, जबकि वह और भी सुदूर एवं अविकसित क्षेत्र रिहन्द नगर का चुनाव करता है. जहाँ अभियन्तागण रिहन्द नगर को कालेपानी की सजा समझता था, वहीं उसे वह भूमि में भारत माता नजर आता था और ख़ुशी-ख़ुशी आस-पास के गॉव घुमा करता था. आमलोगों से दोस्ती करना, उनके दुःख-दर्द को सुन्ना व विकास के लिए सभी को प्रेरित करने में लीन रहता था.

"शांता कुमार को भी देखकर आश्चर्य होता  है, देश के सबसे बड़े महानगर मुंबई में रहने के बाद भी, इस सुनसान जंगल को अपना इलाका मानकर उत्साहपूरवक एवं ख़ुशी-ख़ुशी घुमा करता है."

अपने कुछ साथियों को प्रेरित कर सभी लोग चार किमी दूर के सबसे अविकसित गॉव जहाँ कोई दूकान भी न था, रक्षा बंधन के दिन गरीब बच्चों को राखी बांधने चला गया. अधनंगे धूल-धूसरित बच्चों को इकठ्ठा कर उन्हें राखी बांधा और खाने के लिए मिठाई दिया। साथ में उनमें एक आशा की किरण भी जलाया। बाउंड्री के उस पार जिस गॉव में केवल धुल-कण एवं राख ही विद्युत् उत्पादन से मिला था, जहाँ दिवाली में भी अँधेरा था वहाँ वह लोगों में विकास के लिए आशा का दीप बनकर आया था. कुछ ही दिनों में सैकड़ों गरीब छात्र पढ़ने आने लगे. अभियन्तागण प्रतिदिन यहाँ आकर बच्चों को पढ़ाने लगे. इस निस्वार्थ कार्य से गॉव के नौजवान भी आगे आने आये और वे भी बच्चो के विकास के लिए चल रहे सेवा कार्य का हिस्सा  बन गए. यह साल २०१० था और शिक्षा का केंद्र ब्रह्मनिष्ठा आश्रम। धीरे धीरे आसपास के गॉव में शिक्षण कार्य शुरू हो गया. गॉव में जागरूकता आयी. बहुत सरे बच्चे पॉलिटेक्निक की परीक्षा पास किया और  विभिन्न राज्यों में पढ़ने चले गए. सेवा कार्य को अविरल प्रवाहित करने के लिए नवोदय मिशन ट्रस्ट भी बनाया गया. अब अभिभावकगण भी आशावान हो गए और पढाई पर खर्च करने के लिए तैयार हुए. पूर्व छात्र प्रेरित होकर यहाँ अपना कोचिंग सेण्टर खोलकर शिक्षा दे रहे है..
  
इन कार्यों के साथ साथ सेवा कुञ्ज आश्रम के मंत्री भी बने. सैकड़ों  अभियंताओं एवं ग्रामीणों को आश्रम ले गए. वनवासी बच्चों की शिक्षा के लिए कम्प्यूटर सेण्टर बनवाया। अब सीबीएसई विद्यालय के लिए विशाल भवन एवं छात्रावास का भी निर्माण हो चूका हैं. अब वह उपाध्यक्ष की भूमिका में आश्रम के कार्यों को निरन्तर बढ़ा रहे हैं. ६५ बच्चे से अब २५० बच्चों की संख्या हो गयीं और इसे ६०० तक की संख्या बढ़ाना है.

ग्रामीण लोगो की दशा का वर्णन एवं सुधार हेतु नवोदय डेवलपमेंट एवं रिसर्च सोसाइटी की भी स्थापना किया। मलिन बस्ती गाँधी धाम जहाँ सफाईकर्मी रहते हैं, वहां का विवरण लिखने से वह गंदे पाने की जगह साफ पीनेवाला पानी मिलने लगा है, रोड बन गया, नाले बन गए एवं विद्यालय का भवन भी तैयार हो गया. अब उनको अच्छा घर बने उसके लिए संघर्ष चल रहा है.

सुदूर क्षेत्र में रहने से एवं संघर्षशील प्रवृत्ति की वजह से उन्हें मीडिया में कम जगह मिलता है और न कोई अवार्ड ही दिया जाता है, जबकि उनके कई साथियों जिनको उन्हीने काम करना सिखाया अवार्ड से नवाजे जाते रहते है. इससे वह हतोत्साहित नहीं बल्कि वे कहते है, उन्होंने ये काम सेवा के लिए चुना था, वह चल रहा है. साथियों का सम्मान भी तो अपना ही सम्मान है. जब नए साथी इस मुहीम से जुड़ते हैं तो वही मिडिया में स्थान के बराबर है. सेवा ही शिव की पूजा है, और इस कार्य में लगे रहे यही आशीर्वाद. किसी दिन गॉव में पुस्तकालय खुले एवं कोचिंग सेण्टर शुरू हो जाये तो वही असली सोनभद्र/सिंगरौली जिले में शिक्षा क्रांति होगी।

Professional Politics

Now Indian polity is getting disconnected from grass-root reality. Politics has been downgraded to mere management of seats. At one hand it is lacking serious discussion and on the other side it has become more blame game. Media has turned just a highlighter. They are not giving the theme, crux of discussion or speeches of leaders, technocrats etc. They are just chipping out some sentences, part of sentences and start elaborating on that. What is the intent of the discussion has become immaterial. Now one can’t talk freely. While elaborating things, circumference may be altered. One’s idea should be judged based on center and not on circumference.

Right based politics is becoming mirror of communism. If one is going against left wing ideology, he is considered enemy of people. Because of such philosophy, they are following uni-political party regime. Similarly, patriotism has taken center stage in politics and one is being easily blamed as anti-national if they are questioning some political figures. So it also pushes one party regime equivalent to kingship.

Politics is nothing but election of leaders who are supposed to run home as well as keep the head of nation erect on international forum. Terrorism is not a new thing and people are much aware that they have to keep in my mind that they have to select a leader who will lead the nation and protect its people from the ire of terrorism. Still there are also pressing issues like employment, equality issue, home, energy etc which will also be given some weightage in the selection of leader. Those who are opposing such arguments, they are themselves doubting on the ability of their own party.

Whichever party you belong or support, you should respect democratic values. Nation, religion etc are strengthening not merely by electing a government, but working hard for above cause honestly in daily activities. 

Following the teaching of great saints that one should live in present for ultimate happiness, politics should not be pushed back in history (Nehru-Patel debate) or bounced in future (threat from Pakistan or threat to some particular community), but it should consider present socio-economic scenario and work for development.

  

Sazid

An excellent, smart boy, advance enough with his time and place, who came in my touch, probably when I was in class 5^th or 6th. Till that time, I got a separate, personal room at my home which had doors from inside as well as outside. Probably he was the first boy who as a school friend came at my home. We became good friends with time.

At such a tender age he had thoughts about the secular aspects of religion. Because of his maternal grand uncle, who was a tailor in my neighbouring village, Doghra, he had developed secular view and respect for all other religions. We used to have long talks over this topic and he was really good hope for Hindu-Muslim unity in India.

His home was at some village in Samastipur and came to stay at his maternal home for a short span of time, probably for six months. Hope someday we will meet again.

Hawai Chappal

"Why have you come to mess for eating in bathroom chappal."- asked a Army personnel serving food in mess in NCC camp at Kalaikunda Airbase. I was mesmerized to listen this term and categorization of chappal. It is also reflecting the disconnect between Army personnel mindset and the level of fellow citizen to whom they are employed for protection.

Internet Sensation Priya Prakash Varrier

Priya Prakash Varrier is an upcoming Malayalam film actor who will be making her debut in the film ‘Oru Adaar Love’. Recently, she was in news for a video clip that was released on social media from the song from the movie. Priya became an overnight internet sensation and stole million of hearts with just a ‘wink’. The adorable ‘wink’ that took the internet by storm (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Twitter also WhatsApp) is from a video from the song ‘Manikya Malaraya Poovi’ wherein she is dressed as a school girl and totally flirting back with a boy in her school auditorium. The high school romance and her expressions in the video were just too cute and made her famous. Oru Adaar Love, directed by Omar Lulu, will release on March 03, 2018.

Tyranny of Democracy

When I started coming in contact with groups in college, I seldom realized that they were affiliated to some ideas, some political inclination and they were in process of developing a community whose members are engaged so well that they almost become immune from other ideas, thoughts and develop ones own personality.

Indians burns effigy of an arrogant Brahmin (Rawan) every year

When a scholar becomes arrogant, he becomes to dangerous for the society as he has immense potential to impedes harms to the society. This tradition of burning of effigy of Rawan, not only depicts the victory of good over evil, but gives a good lesson to Brahmins (in today's era all scholars irrespective of caste) for not becoming arrogant.

Recently in a group I found someone posting that if a non-Brahmin becomes Sant, he ended like Asharam, Ram Rahim, Rampal, Swamy Nithyananda etc. This is really an arrogant and irresponsible statement and could be signifies as spreading caste hatred. Anyway they are getting stern reply from people specially people belonging to Dalit community who take such thing as head on although these people don't belong to Untouchables or Dalits. 

Under the era of Rawan, kingdoms of North India or specially kings have no problem as depicted by the happy state of Ayodhya and their non-interference with the acts of Ravan. After all these kingdoms were also guided by Brahmins and they were under the influence of Brahmins. 

Vishwamitra, a non-Brahmin Rishi, took the things head on and became Guru of Rama, a rebel by nature. Vishwamitra had great influence on local people.

People are enumerating a list of Brahmin Gurus with dark side and questions why only Ravan is being burnt. The demise of Ravan has really weakened Brahmin Supremacy in Indian Society, though it came back in other form by making Ram as God and at the same time advised for Ashvedh Yagya to come out from the sin of killing a Brahmin.  

Even Vishwamitra (earlier) was under the spell of existing system who tried all efforts for stopping him becoming Rishi. 

In the modern era, Buddha and Mahavira were also from ruling clan. 

These days some people, under the influence of some community for religious conversion, consider Ravan as their ancestors and tried to burn effigy of Ram instead of Ravan. But the conscious Hindu community led by Brahmins becomes instrumental in killing such deviation (not good for Indian society and its belief system.)
