Nand and Panna Dhai

Indian history of common man is full of sacrifice and dedication for big cause. Panna Dhai was a common lady in the palace of Rana ... She may be considered lowest in the human echelon of the palace. Yet a thought of serving nation, dharma was lying inside her heart and when the time come, she offered her own child to die in place of the prince and helped in saving an empire for not allowing a cruel person to capture the kingdom.

In Mahabharata, the Nand is seldom remembered for her ultimate sacrifice his story of association with Krishna took the dominant place. For the sake of saving God, he offered her own baby to Vasudev, living at her fate for life from the anguish of Cruel King Kans. Here again, Nand was friend of Vasudev and Vasudev was also friend of Kans. Yet they all have behaved in different way because of Dharmas they followed. For the cause of nation Nanda offered his newly born baby when his wife was still not in conscious state. This sense of sacrifice has come because of his enlightenment.
